Assuming Benjamin wants to run around next year I’d be happy for us to give him a one year contract. He’s largely been unused for most of the year this year and hasn’t put a foot wrong. Would be great for our young halves if we have any (looking like Shaun Johnson, Kodi and Taylor at this stage)

I used to hate the Storm but to be honest, with Hughes, Brandon Smith and Papauzen, along with a make shift of average joes who seem to excel when they put that purple on, they’ve been more tolerable in the last few years for mine

I don't hate the storm, they have just win it too much.
I hate the Chooks and Sharkies. Anyone else I'm fine with except Warriors and Cowboys who i want to win...this season has been rough.

You gotta hand it to Manly, they go hard or go home. Storm put 40 on them first week of finals, nek week they put 40 on Roosters, this week they probably get 40 out on them again

Holy shit, just googled and Alex Johnston is only 26 years old. Thought he would have been at least 30. Will go down as one of the best try scorers of all time at this rate
it feels like he's been in the side forever, but I guess they had a very similar winger in Merritt - both left side, way down the order for rep football but play great football for their clubs. Both got pushed back to the wing - merritt for GI and Johnston for Latrell. Uncanny, really.
Would love to see Benji take it out in his (last?) game.

Not a huge Souffs fan but would love to see Benji go out on high.
Hated the Storm when they pioneered then dominated the wrestle but they've adapted so well to the faster game and play with so much skill now that it's hard not to back them next week.
Panthers deserve it on their form over the last two seasons but with the players that are moving on at the end of the season, this might be their last shot at GF win for a while.

I guess we had Manu all those years, but how good would it be to have a player who’s probably going to play 10-12 seasons of high quality football on the wing that doesn’t let you down. In all likelihood he’s got 6 or 7 seasons left so should go close to being the all time top try scorer, so he’s clearly above average. But yeah, so under rated.
Would fucking love Benji to get another one aye. Absolute legend of the game and seems like a decent guy to boot

This is what the grand final was supposed to be, so it's literally is a grand final tonight. But next week will be the big one.
When I watched our last game against the Roosters, I only saw little bits because I was out at the time with the family for a meal, I think it was the weekend before the lockdown. Funny how those things happen, because the last time I ate out, it was only a few days before the very first lockdown, and we were talking about the big subject of the time, Australian buying Toilet Paper, and Kiwis as well.
Anyway as I was saying I watched bits and pieces of that game, and it seemed the Rabbitohs were playing at a high tempo almost test match like game. They were fast, and they steamed rolled over us like it was a new in thing, I couldn't believe it.
Rabbitohs got that back within the last few weeks, except for last night, but they did blow Manly off the park.
I expect the Storm and Panthers go down to the wire, I'd like to see Panthers get the upset, but the Storm are just too damned good. And that's without Cam Smith this year.
