Ref pulled him up for playing the ball after being held though right? And the ref hadn't called held.
His foot was out and so he would have failed the challenge (and that would have tickled me more) but they have to play to the ref and the ref didn't say held.
He was right when he said with that call he was damned if he did damned if he didn't

The roosters choked
They played like the warriors would in a clutch game
Errors the entire game
Why ?
Why did they play awful when they have a team of stars and a great coach
I am bewildered
Even Tedesco was error prone and by his standards he was absolutely awful
We are really lucky we let keighran go
He in particular cost three of the first four tries and then the game was gone
There is no place to hide a guy having a bad day on a rugby league field
They sniff you out and keep coming at you

Roosters used 34 players this year and have been worse Hit than any other team with injuries, they’ve been running off determination and pride for weeks now and you could see signs of them cracking last week. Add in a pissed off Manly wanting to put on a statement after last week behind and it was a bridge to far for a team on life support.
In reality with the cattle they had out chooks have been doing amazing to keep their standards up it just caught up with them tonight.
If Manly can keep form they might throw a cat in the pigeons

Keighran had an off game he’s been filling in pretty admirably for them later part of the year, would have been handy to have this year and probably a better option than Sean O'Sullivan

Manly are well placed to take it out from here. They have had their shit game and got it out of the way.

The Roosters did well getting through to where they did with their injury toll. Also had to key players retire.
I know you can look into it and mention other clubs injuries, joke about the salary cap. But the key thing was they didn't use it as an excuse and the expectation was to always make the finals and still compete.

The point more was our club over the years if there is an excuse to be used it will be used. Instead of just plowing ahead.

To be fair, if the Roosters had claimed any excuses, lots of other fans would have bought out the "Salary Sombrero" thing....And they aren't the most liked Sydney club by a long stretch.
But, all that aside, you've got to be impressed with the record and reputation Robinson's getting.

When I watch any two Aussie clubs okay it is like a nasty dog fight, I don't care who wins...just as long as it is a nasty fight.

Hasler is arguably one of the best if not the best coach in the NRL in terms of getting a results. That Manly team is not as star studded as some of the other top teams yet he has them into a semi final. He is getting results.
