I’ve got a question regarding recruitment ...

We’ve been told that it’s so hard to get players to move to NZ and this is a major barrier to recruiting Aust players.

Ummmm ... we’re based in Aussie now, we’re the media darlings and yet we still can’t even recruit reserve grade Loan players.

Maybe there is more to our lack of recruitment than being based in NZ????

Brisbane regected our approach to borrow Tesi Niu which is a fullback. since they are looking for a fullback does that mean Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is only there short term?
Such a bugger they let the Harry Grant/Momerovski trade happen, grant would have been a good loan.

Yeah I thought trying to recruit a fullback should be pretty far down on Kearneys to do list, but the guys a fucking idiot so who knows.
Even if they wanted to loan Niu to play in the halves, then that makes the signing of Nikorima as a total brain dead move

The clearing of the decks is a deliberate tactic to enter 'free agency' on November 1 with cash to burn.

The club believes they have a sufficient enough squad for 2021 but are prepared to add to it if the right pieces come available.

However, their efforts are more concentrated on a marquee signing for 2022
