Bruce, do you really want to hurt him? Do you really want to make him cry?

I'd add a PS: Our dear Warriors fans - the view from our Bali hotel is TO. DIE. FOR. And their Pina Coladas - okay, yes, I'm a 70s-80s guy in the cocktail department, goes with my tracksuit attire - are Da Bomb. Kia Kaha.

Until the season is officially cancelled then you'll just have to patient as far as refunds go. This is just a guess but I can see them going all out to play something that remotely resembles a season as they probably can't afford a refund. Until such time that they completely can the season you aren't entitled to shit...

I was only commenting on their style of communication.

Every company is sending out COVID 19 letters. Some, like me need to tell customers just WTF is going on. Like I said I did it in about 4 lines, and got many replies thanking me.

However most spouted a heap of PR shite, and I class the Warriors effort in that group. I am entitled to that opinion, and stick by it.

Ticketek were brief and to the point as well. Saying that cancellations would be refunded asap, and they were within days. Postponements were not refunded until it could be confirmed they were cancelled. That of course is the Warriors position, for now.

The most amazing was one was Z, telling the very lucky account holders that their fuel price was being discounted by 12 cents a litre. Considering the much reduced price of oil I would say that is the least they could have done.

I see they are offering full refunds or a carryover. Then the big ask, carry over and order new seats for next year as well.

Well I guess if you don't ask you don't get. They are in the shite, not through their fault, and even Les Mills who have more money than a bull can shit are asking for money when they are closed.

For me a carryover will do for now. Heyzeuss spare me we might even get a game at home this year, maybe. If we did I would definitely book for next year as well.

Recently the club emailed members and suggested that they may like to rollover their membership to 2021 rather than take a refund on the 2020 membership already paid

Like a mug I choose to support the club and rollover my memberships, a bit like the team in last night's game. (4 tickets @ $249 each totaling $996).

Now I see that they are selling 2021 memberships 4 for $440

I would have been better off cancelling my membership and getting the refund and then buying new memberships saving $505

Surely CG must release that this is taking the mickey out of existing members who have chosen to support the club!

[What I found surprising was that under the wage subsidy scheme Warriors Management Ltd & NZ Warriors Ltd received $877456 is subsidy payments for a combined total of 153 staff - the surprise being the number of staff 153!]

Considering his limited ability, plus the immense pressure he must have been under in recent times, I am surprised he just didn't ask us to donate the 2020 payments and join again next year. ...

what's that Bruce?

He did ask members to donate 2020 and join again next year:oops:...sounds like he took the middle ground:D

The club has been really slack communicating with Legacy members about when they plan to issue us our shirts. I know I won't get to go to any games, attend practice sessions, get into the changing rooms after games, go to exclusive signing sessions etc so for $450 all I fucking want is my shirt! And maybe a red bushman training jersey lol...

Next year?...and I do see your point. Fans seem less important than creditors right now.

The club is holding a membership event at Mt Smart on Sunday afternoon to watch the Sharks game. I was told around 600 people have confirmed their attendance which isn’t too bad.

I am actually looking forward to it. Not so much for watching the game but catching up with friends that I have made over the years at Mt Smart that I haven’t seen since last season.

It is always good to have a chat over a beer or 3 to discuss how we would make this team perform better if we were in charge. Not much difference to here 😀.

Hopefully a few members on this site are going to it as will.

On Sunday at the members event at Mt Smart, the club held a brief Q&A with Cameron George and Rob Croot.

Here are some notes from the Q&A.

The club like us, are not expecting much from the rest of this season, usually they talk themselves up about making the 8, there was no mention about this. They just hoping to win some games.

The Butch went off at Rob Croot about not wearing his warriors gear to the event.

My observation with Croot that he is quite reserved, which is unlike Robinson who is the opposite.

Croot said that no decision has been made re the new coach and that they are only halfway through the interview process. He said that media reports about the Walker brothers etc were totally incorrect. The club wants to keep their final decision on the new coach tight lipped until they are ready to make announcement to fans. It will be interesting to see if this happens especially with Robinson.

Regarding recruitment, do not expect any major announcements until a new coach is appointed. They want the new coach to be able to have players he wants.

So, any speculation of having a coach signed for one year will never work if they want the coach to a large input on recruitment.

The club are also talking about another rebuild so in other words don’t expect much in the way of results in the next few years.

They are not expecting to have much joy with finding replacement players for those heading home. Other clubs are struggling with injury etc and will be reluctant to loan players.

A question was asked about if the players coming from Australia should play local club football. The idea was not ruled out but from my observation the club would be reluctant to do so even though in my opinion they should.

They will never move the club to Australia

The club is wanting to do move member events.

That was about it, an uneventful Q&A.
