What greater good? Go on tell me, what greater good? George is just a bullshit artist.
The Easter Islanders thought they could isolate themselves away and where did it get them? Don’t get too big headed Bruce 😉

So casual fan goes to a double header - is blown away by the action of the first game then bored to death by the followup game. Becomes a life long Warriors supporter.

Smart move going head to head by CG. Silly move by the Blues to expose their snorefest for what it is if you ask me!

None of that hides the fact that Cameron George is a serial bullshitter, even by Australian standards. That means there was no decent reason for this shambles. You are just suggesting some for him. The Blues may be a snorefest, but under SK we don't exactly set the world on fire either.

I am not too worried by the Eden Park game, I agree with the Wiz the club has to try new things and at worst you get to see a Blues game for free, the kids will enjoy it. Well actually at worst Leon MacD signs Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and steals him for the Blues.

I have had some interaction with CG and I found him to be OK, he has made some improvements at the club - since he started the foods gotten better at the game, they have tried new entertainment (it sucked but he tried), the club has done more in the community (future warriors etc). The tickets got cheaper. So some positives.

He needs to stop undercutting the price members pay with supercheap tickets during the season, that shit pisses me off and the Shaun Johnson debacle was a bad move. Other than that his biggest failure seems to be backing aa poor coach and a losing team but that might just be a front, who knows what he says internally.

Anyway keeping this thread on track the member team called me today and asked if I still wasnt interested in renewing my seats, I said nup and they said OK then we are releasing them to the first person who wants them, I didnt even know they were being held for me (maybe they werent??).

Those memberships team ladies need a bloody medal. If you had good seats (and I guess you have) and no fecker wants them (because that is fecking obvious) then their sales are way down.

I want a return on my investment after 25 years. Im not going to support the team if it turns out to be a Cronulla and takes beyond my lifetime to win a Prem.

No way anybody should be a member if they keep releasing our best players and changing our spine. Then buying mediocre players to fill the spots. We will be a team of 30 mediocre players soon thanks to George and there is no way we will retain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck if we dont produce a top 4 team with quality signings soon.

I believe in Chanel Harris-Tavita being a good 7, not an X factor, more of a Green or Cronk like player, I do hope Hayze develops into the next Shaun Johnson and provides the X factor Roger Tuivasa-Sheck needs to run with. Along with a hooker who runs when markers are offside and knows who to pass to in the set plays, along with an option for another kicker.

The most bizarre thing ever has happened here in Scotland this morning.

Mail has come through the door. Parcel for the missus. She’s Scottish and I think she’s only watched one league game in her life. It’s a Warriors 2020 Membership pack with hat and lanyard. She didn’t buy it, I didn’t buy it...

She said she may have put in her details on the website because I’ve been trying to get her into league before the season started but she swears she never bought anything.

What is going on?

Wasn’t going to renew my member this season, but did so today. Felt like the right thing to do after the decision to stay in Aussie and play On.

just hope they manage to find some points somehow!!

Not complaining...but...

Ticketek have been in the process of refunding tickets for cancelled concerts.

By comparison haven't heard a peep from Boy George.

Now we all know Warriors fans are loyal tragics, but at least Boy George could say something like we are looking into the refund issue, but my phone is running hot from players agents wanting to sign for 2021 and I just haven't had time.

At least he then knows and cares about the fans.

I do recall him saying something a few weeks ago but I haven’t heard anything since. Mind you I’m not a member this year so not on the mailing list.
Some members would be doing it tough, so a refund would be timely during the current climate.

I had a concert booked for the 12th and I got an email from Ticketek saying they will reschedule once this is all over and to hang onto tickets- maybe your membership is good for whenever next season may be?

I did too, but it was cancelled. Have the refund already. My point is that it is terrible public relations. If they want the fans to hold off until next year, which will also have problems, they should be nice to us now.

They really should give the option of a refund or holding your money for 2021. I imagine Autex are having to juggle a few things right now.

There was an email sent out on the 24th of March outlining that they're still working through the refund/membership issue, and that we'll be updated as soon as further information is available. I believe this was also spread via social media channels.

That was the day after the season was postponed, so you can't really get any quicker a response. And if they don't have any further information yet, then what's the point in additional comms?

I understand that some clarity would be ideal but c'mon, it's not like we've been left in the dark for months. It hasn't even been 2 weeks! Let them take the time to work through things properly. I would much rather that versus drip feeding us information or having to come up with a half-baked solution.

From the club:

Dear Friends

I trust this finds you and your families well as we near the halfway point of the Alert Level Four lockdown.

I’m sure you must be feeling the same as we do right now – desperately missing the NRL season and concerned about what the future may hold for our club and the great game.

Today, we should be celebrating a great win in front of a big crowd following our first 2020 home game at Mt Smart Stadium against the West Tigers over the weekend.

Instead it seems like there is nothing but uncertainty in our world right now and this past fortnight has been the most difficult in our Club’s history. Since the decision to suspend the 2020 season we’ve been in survival mode. The challenges we now face as a Club are significant and together with our owners, our players and our staff, we have had to adapt to the reality of the situation we now face.

Over the past week, our management and our owners have been considering measures to help navigate us through this challenging period with the aim being to position the Club to be stronger on its return - whenever that might be.

You will have seen that the NRL and Rugby League Players Association have agreed the terms of a deal that will see a substantial decrease in player earnings but will help protect the long-term future of the game.

We know people in the community are hurting, much like our staff, players and coaches. This pandemic is much bigger than our club, the NRL or sport more broadly.

But we also know this club - your club – plays a big part in your lives and that’s why we are absolutely committed to ensuring the Vodafone Warriors has many more years of thrilling our members and fans ahead.

We appreciate you have many unanswered questions about your membership but until we have certainty on the 2020 competition, we ask for your patience and understanding.

Once we know what shape the remainder of the 2020 season might look like, we will be constructing a range of alternatives to give you as much flexibility as possible and will act on your instructions as quickly as we can.

We also acknowledge that the lockdown has led to delays in the delivery of membership packs for new members. Please be assured that your pack has been ordered and will be delivered once our supplier is back up and running.

We share in the optimism of the NRL about seeing the Vodafone Warriors out there in action again this year and there is in-depth planning being undertaken now by the NRL to ready the game for a return once it is safe to do so.

It gives us hope that 2020 isn’t wasted. Our team is focused on being ready to go when the competition resumes, knowing there could still be a premiership to be won.

In the meantime, we all have our job to do in keeping New Zealand healthy by staying home and following the advice of Government and health experts during the remainder of the lockdown, and beyond.

Once again, thank you for your support and understanding through this period. Please take care of each other. We are one Family. We are the Vodafone Warriors. And more than ever, we are All In.

I remember getting that.

Fell asleep after line two, same with all the other bland emails about covid19. Lost count of them, they all the same, full of padding.

I had to send one to my customers as well. Amounted to four lines.

When I was at uni, decades ago, one got marked down heavily for pissing the lecturers off with padded assignments.

Just saying like.

It might have gone like this.

Dear fans, we are in the shite and on the verge of going broke. We love you to death and want to keep you but heyzuess knows when we can refund your money.

Cheers,

Boy George

PS My phone isn't running hot.
