If Green wasn’t injured and we didn’t have an underdone Chanel Harris-Tavita leading us around to loss after loss, I don’t think we would have signed Niko.

Agree, bad short term call that was made when the season looked like turning out a total disaster.

I thought Chanel Harris-Tavita was doing fine - all part of the rebuilding process?

If your argument is short term pain for a long term gain then surely we would have made do with AK In the halves, rather than signing someone on a long term deal who just isn’t going to cut it - defeats the purpose.

So we have basically heard from the club itself that we don't have the right players or right attitude, and are unlikely to be competitive with the real deal teams next year.

In addition there has been no real plan for the future that gives me any faith in where the current management are taking us. I want to have faith in development programs, but I'm not sure we have the environment in this country to turn juniors into tough, competitive, and professional students of the game.

I want to believe, but I just don't. I am not a pessimistic person by nature,

I've cut down on my extensive spending on Warriors memorabilia, and have voted no on membership next year, but will probably end up getting an $35 membership later on a whim.

Got an email from the club a couple of days after opting out, sounds like we are going to get on a roll this season so better opt back in. Oops no trainer now, the only roll we will be getting is a sausage roll.

Here is the email content:

Good Afternoon

Thank you for notifying us of your opt out request. This email is confirmation that you have been opted out of the Auto-Renewal process for 2020. We are aware this year’s season didn’t met everyone’s expectations, including our own. However, we are confident that the boys will get on a roll in preseason and continue into the regular season.

Again, we appreciate the support you have shown as a member throughout the season and hope you will still be backing the boys next year.

If you had any further feedback please feel free to get back in touch.

I'm back in for next year and can't wait. Yes, I've drank the Cool Aid again and why, because I love this game, and I love the fact that we have a team in the NRL to support in spite of the numerous frustrations with performance, referees, Aussie opinions, bias, bunker calls etc. We all think we can do better, we all have opinions, we all hate the lows and love the highs. I get all of that too.
I'm keen to hear of plans and changes for 2020, cos it's my passion, my interest since I was a boy and I hate the fact that the season is over and am already eager for the Tests to commence. Not too many recorded winning only games ;) from 2019 to get me through the off-season so will need to treat them sparingly until mid Feb and the trials come around once again.

I have also renewed and will continue to do so.
I travel around the country to watch them and also in Aussie.
Although at times it has been tough to watch these guys play, I will continue to support them and attend the games at Mt Smart.
I have also made some good friends over the years at Mt Smart, I only see them March through to August (wish it was through to Sept) but we all have the same passion for the team and for rugby league.
One day they will win a GF, I just hope it will be in my life time :p.
Bring on 2020!

Has anyone had confirmation from the club about the latest date to renew same seats?

Had a very cheeky salesy email today asking if I want to renew as there are people interested in my seats. I find that hard to believe....
I think that is probably about right in terms of timing, you get to end of Sept or eary Oct to confirm you want to renew then you get a bit of time to change seats. So if you didnt renew then your seat is open to other renewing members. Then eventually it goes to the new members (if there are any).

Done mine, and I believe I had until around 26th Sept to respond, charges have gone through too, so perhaps they are being a little lenient with you Makasene?

Communication from the club has the price going up at Oct 9th - nothing around when we need to renew.

We have 7 seats so a considerable deal for them to close.

I honestly can't see myself doing it again.

Came back from Uni in 2012 and signed up following the 2011 GF. My entire 8 year membership has coincided with perhaps our worst ever period and only one finals game.

What do you mean? So if you dont buy before then the price increases, or are you saying compared to last year?

Fair comment and I think we have all ‘heard it all before’. However I have heard numerous times on this forum about “if they were just honest and said we are doing a proper rebuild I would support it”. They have been honest and said exactly that and now people are going - I’m not going to wait 3 more years!

I’ll admit we get sold BS every year to hype the teams chances, but of all the plans over the years, this is investing in the right areas, supporting by sound reasoning, with the best group of people we have ever had driving it. They are not over selling it - actually the opposite. I found them very realistic.

We need to appreciate the honesty and reality of the situation... unless you just want them to go back to feeding us short term marketing hype 😂
Ah that was probably just me posting the same sht 20 times.
But yep I'm with you .Let's go an proudly watch our boys lose .

Interesting point.

The close off to keep your seats was Friday but I forgot. I had in my head 10 October for some reason. So last night I went to My Account, found my invoice alive and kicking for next season and went to pay it. Trouble was I need to change my credit card details...and the bloody website wouldn't do it.

So I emailed Memberships with the situation and this morning heard nothing. Quite unusual IMO.

So I phoned this morning well after 9am. Recorded voice tells me it is outside working hours...leave a message 🤔 :wtf:

I tried again after 11 am. Got through to Memberships, all solved with a smile.

However while I went looking for seats most of those around me had already gone (Carlaw Park Diehards area) but mine had a minus sign on them. So obviously they could not be booked except by moi and the others had already rebooked.

So If I were you I would rattle my dags and get it sorted, that is if they are good seats and you still want them. I cannot get back into that area on the website again, for some reason, but I recall there were still plenty of good seats available, but the very best had probably gone.

Oh, and one other thing, I run a very small business but would never leave a recorded message during business hours. I actually pay to have an answering service do that if I am out of action. Also, when I do get a message I regard 2 hours as an absolute maximum to leave before responding, and really regard 30 mins as more like it.

So bad marks Mr. Robinson. Like Wayne Bennett said a club is only as good as the front desk, and this morning that didn't exist.

Rant over.

Price increases $10 on Oct 9th from $249 to $259. Something like that

Hi Bruce,

Thank you so much for your support in 2019.

While we didn’t achieve what we wanted to for our loyal members this year, we can assure you the boys will be hitting the ground running when they return for the preseason.

With 2019 done and dusted, our attention now turns to 2020 and today we are proud to announce our membership offerings for next year.

As you know, last year we slashed the price of most reserved seat memberships by more than half in celebration of the club’s 25th season.

For 2020, we’ve worked hard to keep the pricing low to reward you for your loyalty and full season adult memberships will be just $249 for any reserved seat at Mt Smart Stadium for existing members who renew by October 9.

This will rise to $259 for those who purchase after the October 9 cut-off date.

Due to popular demand after a change this season, 2020 full season memberships will also see a return of the membership pack, which includes a Canterbury of New Zealand members-only cap. Last year, members had to purchase their cap individually for an additional $25.

Further to that, 2020 will see the reintroduction for regular season members of core benefits that were missing from this year’s offering including events like a mid-season signing session with the full NRL squad.

The product has also been renamed “The Faithful” to reflect the unwavering loyalty Vodafone Warriors members like you have shown to their club through 25 seasons.

For existing members looking to renew, kids' memberships anywhere in the stadium remain competitively priced at just $59.

As was the case in 2019, full season Faithful memberships will cover 10 games played in Auckland next year with final details to be confirmed when the NRL draw comes out in October.

After listening to your feedback, we’ve also made some changes to our super membership offering, both in terms of price and benefits.

In 2020, it will be re-named “The Legacy” and made available for purchase only by existing members from the 2019 season.

We’ve priced it at $469 for adults and $159 for children. That equates to a price cut on adult super memberships of over 50% on 2019 prices.

In addition to the regular benefits that come with all memberships, all legacy members will receive an exclusive t-shirt, a 25% discount on all food and beverages at retail stadium-owned outlets as well as an invitation for an exclusive behind-the-scenes Vodafone Warriors HQ tour and BBQ with the team after an open training session.

Legacy members will also have their name affixed to their Mt Smart Stadium seat and access to 25% off at the club’s SuperStore.

As a 2019 full season member, your membership will automatically roll over to a 2020 Faithful membership on September 26.

If you currently hold a 2019 Sir Peter Leitch Lounge Membership or a O’Rorke Rd carpark, both products have been priced at the same rate as this season and will show in your membership account when you log in.

You may remove them from your account at the time of purchase if you no longer wish to buy either of these products.

If you wish to move seats for 2020, please contact the club and we will endeavour to find you the best seats available.

If you don’t wish to renew your membership or would like to upgrade to a legacy package for 2020, details on how to do this are below. You will still have until September 26 to secure your same seat for next season before any remaining seats go on sale to the general public.

How to renew your 2020 Membership

The 2020 membership renewals are now open with reserved seated members having up until the 26th of September to renew their same seats and put in any requests for movements or additions.
After the 26th of September members will have visibility on what seats have been renewed and what seats are available to move into or add on. If you held a GA membership you will be able to renew on to our new GA Interchange Membership on the 9th of October. To renew now or view your invoice for the 26th of September follow the below instructions.
  • Click here to access your AccountManager
  • Login using your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password you can reset this by clicking 'forgotten password'
  • You will find an invoice sitting in your account ready to be paid
  • Options to upgrade your membership
  • Follow the prompts to process payment for immediate renewal or leave as is to Auto-rollover on September 26.
If you were wanting to make any changes to your membership or if you wanted to opt out of your Auto-Renewal, follow the below links.

Just two updates on that.

I was able to see the available seats, and those that had been members but not renewed last night. I cannot see it now because they obviously haven't processed my renewal yet.

When I get that I can change my current booking even though it has been paid for new seats elsewhere. It isn't in the email but I was told that by Memberships last month.

Also, one thing I noticed was that they seem to have seats already marked as LEGACY $469. I was only looking in my block in the Eastern Stand. Most seemed unbooked. They were also right at the front of the stand, which surprised me. Those in the know get at least five rows back to keep out of the weather.

First year I will have to have a think about renewing. It usually goes without saying that I would tragically continue to follow them but with Mt Smart now a joke of a Fortress I'm wondering if I don't just save time and money watching them from the couch. All the time, money and effort I spend on this team I just don't feel like I get anything back from the club. Spent close to $3K on memberships last year and easily a $1K on merchandise. That's not counting the amount I've just spent on topping up my jersey collection. Probably cheaper to smoke crack...
The fact 'you' are saying this, is a sad indictment on the club. I hope we're all feeling different next year. I'm the opposite weirdly. I only attended a handful of games this past 3 years as I am in Hamilton now but I'm going to sign up again and drive up to Auckland every fortnight. The more hate, the more I want to support them. Weird eh?
