How good? Vlandys is right - this is the gr8 gum of rugba leagueee! It’s yet another Bennett masterpiece if these guys get the bikkies. Agreed it’s not the big hitting style of Origin game so far but im enjoying the drama

Typical Queensland, even when they haven’t had great players their teamwork is usually very good. A bit like the Ryder Cup where American strength in depth suggests they should always win, Europe have teamwork though

I like a bit of individual brilliance, it’s what makes games exciting. Not sure I could ever be a coach tbh

I'm not a NSW or QLD supporter so couldn't care less who won, but I thought NSW were hard done by with that call right on full-time. That was an absolute blatant and cynical slowing of the play the ball that should have been penalised. Have seen a bit too much of that happening right at the end of close games this year. Kaufusi deserved his binning and I reckon QLD were really lucky not to get a second one.

i missed the last 10 mins due to a teenage crisis, but i agree, i hate games that end like that. professionalism i think its called, NSW used to be kings of it.

Watched the first 10 minutes on mute, can't stand the dribble from Goulds mouth sorry. Then fell asleep, thought the Morons would be flogged, didn't really like their line up even though a Morons supporter and lo and behold...... I never liked the fact the players can see the clock. Much better to keep this from them so they play until the hooter sounds. Games often end about 5 seconds before they should

read an article this morning that said that the refs clock is independent of the scoreboard clock and it looked so bad because the ref had already blown time off before the countdown finished based on his correct timings. So while it might have been a slow play it wasnt quite as bad as they indicated on the screen.
I actually thought this had been dealt with years ago for this very reason and the scoreboard was linked to the game clock?

Its not even an attempt at all, complete roll between the legs, shit it bugs me. And yeah, i do remember the crackdown, penalise the bastards they won't do it then.

Felt like a bit of a non event to me, nine do their best to build it up as the most epic thing ever but it’s lost a heap of its lustre in the last decade or so.
I was going for NSW but in a way happy for QLD, felt in the build up there wasn’t enough respect shown from NSW and they were a bit cocky and shit the bed in the 2nd half. Bit dicey calling it in the end as it would have been interesting with the overlap QLD had caused by smothering the ptb but have seen reports that the ref has full time called in his ear by the timekeeper which doesn’t necessarily synch with the field clock
Cleary really needs to find a way to get into big games, he’s starting to gain a bit of a rep now after the last couple of MIAs

I don’t see a big issue with it as it has no noticeable effect on the game other than speeding it up.

what do people think about the change to having a game every week?
IMO it makes it a fair bit more exciting as the teams can build like in a normal tour without the interruptions
