General 2018 Warriors Membership Thread

Anyone know when the member window was open/closed for members to purchase their seats for the double header? I was supposed to be away next weekend but just had it canned and am keen to go to the game, but want to be sitting in my seat next to my mates.
I am pretty sure the tickets cannot be bought from the club, it is an NRL promotion. I have season tickets but couldn't get them for the double header. I bought mine weeks ago and at that stage almost all the east and west stand had gone. I have had to settle for uncovered near the goal line. There must have been a lot of pre booking from the other clubs. I have just had another look now and there seems to be no unobstructed seats left.

I got my tickets directly from the club - I messed around buying my membership seats and emailed the club, my seats had sold but they hooked me up with great seats in a similar location. I think tickets have sold well the last couple of weeks, as the warriors ticketing person was able to give me a bunch of options seating wise a few weeks back.

I've got season tickets but was not happy with having to purchase separately for the double header. As a result, we made a call to not go to the double header but instead go to a bar and spend our $$$on beer and food.
Maybe now, not a wise call but we'll have fun. It's been a while since I missed a home game, live at Mt Smart.
Which bar, should we go to??????

We made the same decision and still don't regret it. Nothing worse than a stadium filled with drunk party goers only there because it is the thing to do that Saturday night. We will return for the Brisbane game :)

You can get tickets from the Warriors reception. I got 30 from there last week. They even print it out right there too and give you your members discount as well...
Thanks Welly. I must have got confused about the double header thing. I will know for the future.

Its the cards that take time to make. I didn't renew until January and it took almost a month and a half to get my pack...

This is just an update about what winning does for a team.

Membership is now at 16,517 compared to 15,356 at the same time last year. (Source League Unlimited)

Television ratings for the year are up 22 per cent in New Zealand compared to last year for all NRL games (Source NRL.Com)

Attendances at Mt Smart are averaging around 17,400 per game compared to 11,700 in 2017.

Let’s hope this all continues.

Don't think its the winning. Must be the fan engagement :rolleyes::rolleyes:...

But but but.... Buzz Rothfield keeps saying ratings are down, fans are unengaged and the game is shit!!
He'll be a bit more positive soon as the Sharks are on a winning streak.

The clubs Social Media has picked up this season. The game day experience has been a lot better since we have been winning. The plastic seat feels a lot more comfortable and the hot dogs and chips taste a lot better. Best to keep it basic otherwise a crazy Hawaiian will think we are stealing ground breaking ideas.

We discuss a lot about how here in NZ we only follow winners. Besides the Broncos who get consistent crowds and are not typically low on the table and the knights who were getting pretty good crowds even the last few years. Most clubs get a huge boost as soon as their fortunes change their crowds pick up. Seen it with the Tigers, Panthers etc the last 10 years or so whenever their results pick up.

Good to see the positive articles or radio talk about the club with the expected crowds for Warriors games.

Yet we have only got close to a sell out when we had a double header here. Hate to dredge up an old discussion, but you started it. There has to be an improvement in game day experience or all we will ever have is what we have always had.

Double header was after a 4 game winning streak to start the season. Try having one when we are on a four losing streak and you'll see game day experiences don't count for jack shit...

It will do my head in if I get asked to complete another survey about game day experience .... one after almost every home game!
