It does look dire but when you consider that Nathaniel Roache, Erin Clark, Junior Pauga and Isaiah Papalii are all eligible and playing ISP you realise that the club after all these years are finally getting it. All roads lead to NRL Premiership, not the NYC. Probably the one good thing Matt Elliott did while he was here...

Roache and Pauga aren't eligible anymore both graduated last year and Clark and Papalii couldn't even help this team get the W in the weekend. Crap class of juniors. Harris-tavita, Soosemea and Kenese only players with NRL potential.

Hey bro, to be fair he inherited a squad that wasn't his to start with and after Wright's demise was hard for Pocklington to build around a team that had underperformed during Wright's tenure. I have not heard that he's lost the changing room - he's too good a coach for that. If anything it might be remnants of some attitudes (players especially) from last year - that I DO KNOW for a fact! Some of the attitudes at the beginning of the pre/offseason were really bad! Prima donna's. Pocklington soon smashed that out of them during preseason. Some dropped away, others just knuckled down.

People need to know that standards slipped significantly since Stace had the 20s and it's taken the offseason and the first part of this season to turn that around. Pocklington is definitely trying his best with what he's been given.

There won't be a "two years" as this year is the final year for the NYC in its current format.

It'll be interesting to see if our bid to have an SG Ball team is successful 2018 and he may be chosen to take that team. 8 or so players from last year's much talked about Auckland Under 16s comp have made it through to the wider Warriors U16s squad. Some of those boys will debut for the 20s this year as they turn 17 years old (Tyler Slade was the first of them last weekend).

Who are the other players that were part of the Auckland Under 16s and are expected to debut this season?

At least our previous u20 crops had a reason to overrate themselves - they actually won some games.

Thats very confusing, how can any of them see themselves as future NRL players with a winless record half way through the season. Much like the first grade squad, they should gut the team and start over.

Put in all of the players we signed from that U16 group of last year. Probably the most talented group of players we have signed, most of them would have turned 17 by now and be eligible to play; guys like Israel Ogden, Paul Turner, Tyler Slade and Talavou Gavet.

On another note, Chanel Harris Tavita keeps killing it. Love the way he controls the game for a player of his age. Only player I've really been impressed with in this side.

I've been impressed with a couple of players, Harris Tavita is definitely one and Kane Talea looks a good prospect also.

Getting beaten every week is a great leveler which is exactly what some of these kids need by the sounds.

A lack of maturity has often been a weakness at the Club.

I dunno about first grade it's to hard to tell but that was my initial thought when I saw him playing fullback in the first 6 or 7 rounds, since Pocklington's moved him to center he's been going really well, to good for those around him at times.

How well has being the most successful NYC team since the thing started in 2008 done for our NRL team? Thought so...

Soosemea has look good a mix between Glen Fisiahi speed and Francis Meli power another who has impressed is Joe Vuna could be playing NSW cup soon.
