Thought a slight edge to NSW, until I saw an interview with James Maloney, seemed more interested in playing golf during camp.

I understand both sides enjoy some considerable social times( well jealous, would be great to be on the drink with Alfie and co). But, QLD players know the bigger task and are mentally ready.

Based on Maloney's comment, QLD to embarrass NSW and breed new players for future domination. Mentally too tough.

Queenslanders have that "smaller place" chip on their shoulder about NSW, a bit like Kiwis compared with Oz. The series always has meant slightly more to them, remember Billy Moore's rant Queenslander chant years ago.

I turned off NRL 360 last night hearing them rave about how tough it is. It is just faster than NRL, not tougher, those really tough days are long gone. Test football is the real deal. Rant over.

I was standing there after the game at Suncorp Stadium Anzac test May '15 thinking that the SOO has lost some polish because the best players will not be there but now sadly the NZRL has stuffed that up big time through their backward/amateur and inferior coaching choices. No affiliation to either team. Would much rather be watching test football although the kiwis of late haven't interested me either, at least with SOO I don't care who wins. I prefer NSW as I can't seem to get away from that underdog tag. Can't stand slater or smith which helps push me to NSW as well

When first got into it QLD were the eternal underdogs, always amusing what lengths the media will push the NSW barrow to get them back on level pegging these days.

Guess they have to, 10 series wins in 11 years is usually enough dominance for punters to lose interest.

NSW being so pathetic has waned my interest. Those cockroaches are the Wallabies of the Bledisloe Cup. I long for the day when games and series go tic for tac. Hopefully once the QLD spine retire we will see some competitiveness back into the SOO...
