Couldn't care less who wins, it's a trial game for the Kangaroos, but do they really have to make it so obvious. Penalty count, sending off for 10, shoulder charge yeah right, not interfering with play from offside position 2 mtrs max from ball when the try was scored from the kick second half...time the integrity folks took a look at this one. As if there's any chance of that.

Try never should have been given shocking call. Despite the commentators blowing up about the shoulder charge his shoulder made contact with the head that is a penalty every time in modern league.

QLD need to shake up their bench and forwards in general, no more parker offloads, and myles, lillyman, guerra, mcguire have about as much impact as a damp paper towel.

Because in the modern era to me s.o.o. when not won by ref's, is the epitome of the modern game played at its best. I sit there and watch NRL games and all the missed opportunities from lack of skill, lack of intensity, lack of leadership - whatever the situation is for that team at that time. Then I watch Queensland. Thurston and Smith leading the team around, hole running, defensive brilliance, ball playing skill, heart & soul and for a league lubba it is just sublime. SUBLIME. I caught up with my Mum this morning. Now she doesn't bang on about the Warriors, shes been following league for years and years and she doesn't say much. But s.o.o. Queensland - you can't shut her up! And then she comes out with all these insights about this player that player and I'm like wow. With s.o.o. Just all that skill all that experience running around for 80 minutes is wonderful. You don't need the biff. The biff takes away from the brilliance. And so do shithead refs.

They need to stop all the handbags at noon bullshit. The only way i have ever seen that works is a penalty or sending off given for the third man in.

Look at Malony's cheap shot at the end of the game. Does he deserve a quick and dirty because of that. Yes, but the game was over, so if anyone did a Fafita on him they would be up on legal charges. Like real police assault charges. And there is Fafita who got away with a 10 min penalty, for effectively attacking an unprepared opponent, from behind and using his head as a fulcrum.

My point is that if they had stomped on the bullshit running-in at the start of the year, by now no player would be doing it. But with no consequences cheap shots are all the rage. A penalty system that incorporates a yellow and red card would sort this shit out.

Thanks for answering that Maraea, I understand what your saying and I appreciate the standard of football if sometimes dour but I've always had a hard time aligning myself with the Aussies, so I don't understand all the "in your face" style sentiment and comments coming from kiwis who have attached themselves to the Morons/Blues, it's like cheering for your sister in a kissing contest, it shouldn't happen lol

Anyway, give me a Kiwis international to watch over origin any day.

Good to see Sir Paul Gallen go out with a win. Having to put up with biased, conspiring refs for his whole S.O.O. career must have taken its toll. And lets face it, Qld are an ok team but without some help by the officials they are average. NSW dominate for the majority of the time and I look forward to a new era of fair adjudicating and therefore unstoppable results in favour of the Blues.

Took 3 things away from this year's origin

- just confirmed again pound for pound Cameron Smith is the best League player on the planet
- Tyson Frizell is a helluva player....plays direct, great leg drive, and he has some ticker
- a fervent wish (apart from never seeing Thaiday wandering around in just speedo's in the sheds again) they follow through on the speculation of bringing a S.O.O to Auckland......as much as its en vogue to dismiss origin these days i'd be all over that ticket (I suspect it would go like hotcakes).
