Bummer my team lost.

There were two different models of rugby league on show tonight in attack (defensively they were exactly the same....six four says it all).

The blues employed an excellent passing game, drawing and passing, payers in motion moving onto the ball.

Queensland ran straight for territory and Kicked for territory beautifuly.

Queensland with their experience were more composed, but I thought NSW on the whole were pretty well organised.

Moral of the story :

Defensive rugby league puts you in the ball park against the worlds best teams.

While the Warriors focus on fun and bringing back Warrior ball....New Zealand, Queensland, and New South Wales focus on defensive rugby league as the ultimate way to win the sport.

NRL championship sides.... for and against scores bear this out too.

Goes to show you how far off our recruitment choices are.

Getting Dugan and Tedesco back should help but we need a real utility, Walker shouldnt have been there to begin with. Klemmer and Gallen were immense.

I'm Kiwi first but QLD hard. Lived in Qld the majority of my life..grew up on my league and the mighty Morons, leaguie hard since a young kid.
To me State of Origin is not the pinnacle of league it used to be.
With so many Maori/NZ and Polynesian/Fijian excelling at the highest level of rugby league these days, but not eligible for origin, it's hard to see Origin as the top dog anymore. Times have changed.
I'll always love my Morons, faithfully.
Buy i just don't see State of Origin as the ultimate anymore.
It's the best of the Aus states..not rugby league.
