Hi guys and gals,
The forum has been switched over to the new style that you all by now would have noticed.
There are some changes to the layout, and functionality of the site which I will expand on in this thread.
1) Enable / Disable the sidebar
You can enable or disable the sidebar. Select the highlighted button at the top of the forum list and homepage to enable or disable the sidebar.
2) Close / Enable Forum Sections
There is a button to hide sections of the site you have no interest in. They will remain in that state until you decide to change it by selecting the highlighted button again
3) Quick User Info and Messaging
Hover over a user's avatar and you will be able to find information about them, such as when they joined, posts etc, and also the ability to quickly view their profile or message them via clicking the self explanatory icons.
4) Bet (Virtual Bookie Dollars) with another selected user or anyone
You are now able to bet on any event whether league related or not by going to the betting exchange. (https://www.nzwarriors.com/betting-exchange/). This is a new section under the Bookie from the menu.
All bets are 1:1, so try to give a fair bet in order for someone to accept. For example in one of the examples i created a bet that Warriors would beat Knights by 13 or more. You can bet on any event, for example 'Cappy to be sacked by round 20' etc, or 'Liberals will win the Australian election'. oman will be providing an overview of the section and you are free to contact him or myself if you need assistance.
Everyone has been given an additional $3000 to mark this new feature so they can create their own new bets, or put it on the NRL matches that are done every week.
5) A lot of informational guides have been placed in the footer for easy access.
6) Contributor membership
A new contributor membership is now available where for $5 a month you actively contribute to the development and enhancement of the site. There are some additional features such as having the ability to turn off all ads, having a custom title and so on. Please note that this is not an obligation at all. Theres still a couple of minor things still to be done, but is in a state where the new look can be made public. Unfortunately not everyone is going to like this, but it is needed for enrichment of the user experience we have in mind for the future.
Lastly but not least, a big thank you to all the people that helped test the new look and provide such valuable feedback to quash all the issues.
