Was thinking there was still a chance but then realised the Knights (16th) are playing the Panthers (15th) for what will be the battle for the Wooden Spoon. At least we have some good news as pathetic as it may be...

I was coming around to the idea the players deserve the spoon on their résumé for their last 2 months, but it’s a claytons wooden spoon anyway (if that makes sense!) last place with 20 points, 8 wins, hasn’t happened since they went to 16 teams.

Will probably root for the knights, good chance for league whisperer Gus Goulds first wooden spoon
