wow clusterfuckup by the nzrl

from the start ive been saying this comp was poorly promoted, organised and thought out. nzrl not even selecting a nz residents side to play anyone this year!
now we have the situation that was always a possibility of 2 side from out of auckland playing a final in auckland! no play B in nzrl draw at penrose and the plan A was scribbled on a piece of scrap paper!

This is NZRL job and they need to take domestic rugby league scene in nz seriously with planing, promotion, organisation, demonstrate a passion passion for the sport locally. Next year starts now and as much effort as goes into the kiwi's, and age grade comps needs to be put into this comp in 2015!

I agree they should take some responsility for it- it must've crossed their minds that they weren't eligible and I don't know if the canterbury admin had any idea- the canterbury coach didn't even know who Albert vete was ( or some guy veti- as he called him haha)
It was the two auckland teams dropping each other in the shit.
In saying that tho the buck stops with the nzrl and them wiping their hands of it is bs IMO.

Stingrays registered Albert Vete with the NZRL and he was cleared. Same goes with Sam Cook for Akarana. Vete is 21 years old and Cook is 5ft nothing and a half. This is who Bamford is scared of hahaha.

Regardless of who wins tonight this years result will always be pointless as the Stallions dont deserve to be there whatsoever. The Stingrays should still have been allowed to play even after deducting the one game they played an ineligible player.

Hope the Bulls enjoy their title that was won in the courtroom and not where it should have been won, on the field. Be the highlight of all their careers bar Coreys and it wasnt even played between the 2 best teams lol...

Yeah but potentially guys thinking the season was finished could have work commitments, whanau commitments, gone hunting, gone on holiday etc etc.

U guys might say counties would've beat them anyway but truth is we will never know- they beat them by a couple of tries and vete scored 2.... ( which also affected their for and against)
On top of that as u say it's gonna be a hollow victory now ( well that's if they win- bluey is visiting them before the game so it could still turn to custard).
No need to have a go at the canterbury players- they're done nothing wrong- just innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.

This statement is just horrible Bro, he was a Player/Coach over there and wanted to go home and he served them well, he didn't walk up last minute, he played the whole season in Canterbury.
The game could do with more like him, Lawrie and Pukepuke, giving back and still enjoying playing grassroots in their 30s..
The money that gets talked about around here from the Fox is quite amazing, players play for the love of the game in Canty, Canterbury Rugby League has been broke for a long time.

I have been saying the comp is rigged for a reason not just for the sake of it. No player connected with the Warriors in a calendar year should be eligible to play in this comp.

Bulls spent more time under the posts puffing when they played Counties, our young back line carved them up, and that was the feedback from the bulls players I knew after the game. Bramford wasn't all that either when I watched him, puffing in the 2nd half. All those players know the truth who was the better team on the day during the rounds. Waicoa was cake - I stand by what I said about both teams - you just have to watch the National Secondary Schools comp and the National rubbish comp for 15's an 17's and you can see where the regions are at.

I feel for the players I know cause they worked hard all year to make Counties and this sort of BS happens. Making Counties meant something to them - We are one of the few clubs up here that don't pay there Premier's anything,having a few of the boys make counties this year, gave hope to the rest that you can do it from Hawks without running out to $ clubs.

Fact is Aussie isn't all it's cracked up to be and can be real tough going, he didn't leave Bidgee and go to another Oz club, he went home which is what a heap of Kiwi's are doing at the moment.

I do have qualms, how can we promote and grow the game when we have players that get full time development and resources against players that don't, the only way we can truly grow the game is to develop outside of greater Auckland where they don't have the resources and development that they have.
Ramraiders statement about the Bulls blowing under the posts is a great example, guys who get to train a couple of hours a week are sucking in the big ones, go figure..

I haven't been following this story until yesterday. It clearly seems to be an NZRL admin fuck-up, but if both the top teams outed the other team while doing the same thing (playing suspect players), then they brought it upon themselves. They had to know their players where borderline at best.

Its a shame a nationally televised game has turned into such a farce, but I hope the players don't take it that way and give it everything they have.

Anyway, Go Canterbury!!!

Bro checkout how close the Premier comp was this season and where those Bulls come from, there is a lot more depth than you give Canty credit for.
I was interested in a few of the younger Canty teams named this year because of friends kids and particularly the 14s down it was good to see so many old League family names in there.
Canterbury League is on the way back up, dont be deluded into making statements like you did at the start of this comp.
IMO League across the board is on the way up again, imagine what happens if the provinces actually start getting development and resources, elite clinics etc. They might be able to start poaching more players from the places that do have strong adult Yawnion representation. Canterbury in particular has far more than what you see in the top divs, id imagine Waikato, Welly and even Northland have their share..

Not Ackland's fault bro - Akarana is a NZRL district, nothing to do with ARL. If anything its the Board member for both ARL an Akarana who has started all this kaka in the first place.

Oh true Bro didn't know that, the rules must be a mine field to decipher re eligibility, just make it easy for everyone to understand. The National Comp definitely ranks below NSW cup and U20 so if a player plays in those comps they are ineligible simple.
