‘Hoff’ starts his 13th season five appearances short of his 250th NRL game. He joins three former team-mates Nathan Friend (from his Melbourne days) and Thomas Leuluai and Sam Tomkins (from his season with Wigan in 2011). This is not the first time he has lived in New Zealand having spent two years in Wellington with his family in the mid-1990s. His father Jay was a foundation Canberra player, making 111 appearances for the Raiders.
