His junior clubs were the East Coast Bays Barracudas in Auckland and the Taniwharau Rugby League Club in Huntly.
Played for the Warriors alongside his brother Vinnie Anderson. Would stay for 4 seasons racking up 67 matches before moving to Warrington Wolves where he would again hook up with his brother Vinnie who had moved to the club the season before. Louis is currently still playing for Catalans Dragons in France.
Junior Kiwis captain made his Test debut in the 16-all draw against Australia at North Harbour Stadium in October 2004. Louis Anderson scored a try on debut (along with older brother Vinnie Anderson) and went on to play in all four Tests in NZ’s unsuccessful Tri Nations campaign at the end of the year.
