The first Warriors jersey was released in March 1993 at an official launch party headed by CEO Ian Watson with the uniform being modelled by junior Warriors players Meti Noovao, Willie Poching, Henry Paul, Julian O'Neal and Bryan Henare.
That same month the Auckland Warriors Scholarship squad would become the first Warriors team to play a game in the curtain-raiser for the Brisbane Broncos vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs match played at Carlaw Park, Auckland on 19 March 1993.
OFFICIAL REPLICAS
Canterbury of NZ (CCC)
The jersey seen mostly worn by players in ads for the sale of the jersey and at the official launch had the chevron (the V's around the neck) and major sponsor sublaminated on the jersey like 1994 and 1995 jerseys but what sets it apart is the placement of the CCC logo and the fact that the CCC logo is embroidered on. The following year would see the CCC logo placed below the NSWRL badge and sublimated.
Not many of them are still around. Probably seen about 10 in the last 15 years but that number grows every year as they are found and people know what they are. Still, a rare jersey that is a must for every collector.
Peerless
Made in the same way described above for the CCC jersey type B but much rougher. DB Bitter and Peerless logos are laminated as well. Chevrons consist of individual strips of fabric sewn on top of each other.
The tags say 1993 but I suspect that they are all probably 1994 with the 1993 tags just being leftovers from the previous years much in the same way you see 1995 ARL badged jersey with NSWRL tags. This is only a guess and maybe Peerless did start producing some in 1993. We may never really know but if the tag says 1993 then 1993 it is.
PLAYERS JERSEYS
The jersey was also worn during the Warriors Colts 3 match tour to Australia during July 1993. There they played Presidents cup teams from both the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and Newcastle Knights and a third mid-week game against a New South Wales country representative team. The Colts team was made of 19-21 year olds.
There is no record of the game online nor is there any footage. Obviously the jerseys used would be match worn but as yet none have ever surfaced.

General - 1993-1996 Warriors Jerseys
Did the Warriors ever wear the NSWRL patch on their Jersey? According to Wikipedia the Warriors were never part of that league. I have seen images of both the NSWRL patch and the ARL patch on the 1995 jersey. Which one is correct? I've only seen photographs from games with the ARL...
