Just watching the Souths presser, I would be depressed if I was a bunnies fan. It's so obvious to everyone that Latrell is a cancer on that team, yet here is the coach continually making excuses for Latrell. Thank god Latrell will be suspended this week, because it saves JD from the difficult, but necessary, task of dropping Latrell from the team. They might need to hire Madge back- a tough bastard is what they need.

What a great win. Some great tries. Real statement

And why was Mitchell only put on report for the elbow, the referee must have been the only person in the ground who didn’t see that as a straight red

In the Ref's defence he was yold by yhe zbunker about the elbow and went back and dealt with it. I think he dealt with both incidents OK

In saying that Latrell and Walkers actions in attacking the head is spreading through Souths and in my view is rapidly becoming a duty of care issue for the NRL. Rascism and dirty play cannot be conflated.

The facts of the situation are so outrageous:

- Assistant coach Sam Burgess resigns with rumours swirling about preferential treatment for 'some' senior players
- Souths go on to lose 15 of their next 17 games (something like that)
- Meanwhile, Burgess as head coach of Warrington is sitting top of the table in Super League

According to Roger in his interview the game was in the balance for the first 25 minutes and Shaun took over and started barking at the team "We are feeling the heat and the pain but so are they. Complete our sets. Dig deep and they will crack."
Shaun won us this match. In a team of stars he is the brains of our operation.
That is literally what every NRL team used to say about the Warriors for decades. So satisfying it has now completely flipped.

Do you think our 2 1/2 years in Aussie has added some Australian DNA to the club, we handle the conditions like it's our second home these days. Half the team are aussies anyway, it's a good mix of kiwi/oz at the moment, I don't fear any away games this year.
Agreed that the right mix of quality Aus players is always key for the Warriors. Plus a decent Aussie coach, that seems te be the other key factor in making the Warriors be at their best.

I also think CNK is a better player for his time at the Raiders, SJ time away with the Sharks and a different perspective returning to his home club.

So mix of Kiwi/Aus is super important, as is the mix of players on their development curve / career arc.

Interesting point about leaving...

4 of the 17 (CNK, SJ, CHT, RTS) have left the club and returned (better!).

What does that say about the club then and now?

CNK’s interview after the game was so wholesome.

Nothing but admiration for RTS. And praising Webby for giving him the confidence and support he needed to succeed. Webby really does have a magical spell on everyone 🪄

Even the press conference Tohu looks so alert and attentive to everything Webby says. It’s like he’s got a secret crush on the guy 😂

Bro that classic clip from someone last year comparing a press conference shot of Brown & Tohu and Webby & Tohu.

The Searle podcast this week with Jackson Ford "I met Webby for a beer at a pub and he knew more about my game than I did". Mastery.

Now we don't want to be saying stupid things but I would take a bet that it takes Webby less than the 15 seasons it took Ivan to win a premiership. Hopefully it is with us.

Webster is a magician. I never thought I would ever be as proud of a Warriors team than I am at the moment. And we are already starting to see the results of our development with some of these juniors coming through and the depth we have. We are set up for sustainable success and man it feels good!
This. 💯 right. I’ve never been prouder of this club - not just the way we are playing and developing, but who we have become as an identity. It’s glorious.

always been very hard for WAR players to get into the SOO ....the whole anti if you play for NZ club .. actually hope that's the case we don't want some of our best out for those period
Yeah hard out…!!!!!
DOUBLE EDGED SWORD now with Webby being so sharp…
Barny,Ford,Capes & Eagan could b S.O.O bound…..
Phuck you Webby!!!!!
Feeling like slapping dat white arse wit man luv….. Protect ya self YOU hear!!!

Laban at 19 already looks noticably bigger than everyone around him. There is a bit of NAS about him - but I'm not saying he's NAS!

Looks a very safe bench spot.

Bunty out next week you would think he gets another bench spot.

Don't want to get ahead of ourselves but a lot of people watching NSW cup are saying he is not even the best prospect - wtf! That's mental
You wait until halasima get back on the bus.

I think the most impressive aspect of this team is the way we are dominating field position. I think this is most evident in our final play the balls whereby Johnson will bomb with pinpoint accuracy the right corner of the field which is quickly supported by probably the best kick chase exponents in the game led superbly by Berry. Then the stranglehold begins wherein we rush up hard and fast on defense limiting their yardage and eventually wearing them down. I love the certainty of this final play and how well we are executing it.

I love how lussick has made the rabbitoes have to live with the decision to play Hawkins 🤣

I personally think it was a legit charge down by the way.
Can’t see how it was foul play. Went for the ball - ilias kicked his leg in the follow through. It happens.

Go back to last year with TMM and the hip drop that broke his leg. The send off I think was OTT and probably a reaction to the handbags…

It's the fact they're not trying to score on the last play from halfway But trusting the game plan that's so good to see. Other teams know it's coming but they still have to come out of their own end regardless. It's a high percentage plan that seems common sense but taken this long for us to execute on it. The next evolution for our attack is what we'll do when the short ball stops working. I'll bet Webbys got some tricks up his sleeve for the back end of the comp.
