Man id love for us to get Turuva.

Im hoping that if we time it right, we will likely have 2 or 3 years of Laban, Zyon Maiu’u, Sifakula, Halasema and Ali all on modest coin prior to them all become superstars, maybe the 2025-2028 window.

That means we could pay overs for some of those key areas that were lacking. I'd pay 500k to get Turuva here. Imagine the amount of finishes he would have scored that Montoya wasn't able to. And at likely only 200k more, that's an area I would look at for sure.

I've always said that to win a premiership you need 2 or 3 boom rookies who perform well, which gives you more cap to spend in other key areas.

If we were able to pick up a dominant kicking half for 2026 onwards, I think with that plethora of top young talent, along with the core players of Wade, CNK, Roger, Berry, Metcalf, DWZ, Niukore and Barnett I think we have a really really solid base moving forward.

Wouldn’t RTS CNK Marata, Barnett and DWZ be past it by 2027? Maybe CNK can still be around..

If Metcalf and Hansen go fine maybe throw some coins on an elite prop, ?fullback and an impact bench?

Edit Taruva just scored a hat trick lol

We could end up with
8. Elite prop
9. Egan
10. Zyon Maiu’u
11. Sifakula
12. Laban
13. Ale
14. CHT/Lussick
15. Halaisema
16. Junior prop
17. Junior forward, or

Not necessarily aimed at you but there seems to be a natural assumption en masse around here that this group of promising talent are all going to go on to be first grade quality and have long established first grade careers. I hope they all do but the odds are and as history has shown us if one of this lot kick on to that (2 at the most) then we're probably doing well. We've had groups of talent throughout our history (some with more obvious talent than this current class) but shes a hard road to kick on to a week on week NRL player......think some expectations need to be tempered here.

Will say however the factor we never had in our past developing players is Webby so im certainly not ruling any of these guys out......and there are some upcoming gaps in our roster we're going to desperately need a few of these guys to be instant hits in if we want to remain a title threat.

Sofa -Solomona wouldn't go to the Dragons, Warriors want to replace Fonua -Blake the moneys the same and if he leaves the Storm the most likely destination.
The Dragons are on the nose to quality players he'd prefer the dogs or dolphins over them.Unless your looking for an opportunity in first grade or local to the area , the dragons are a long way off a destination club at present.

Thought this post was interesting off the eels forum in a thread surrounding Lomax. Don’t think the poster has any inside info?

Yeah mate I get it, it almost feels like an expectation around here that all of those players are going to explode, all at once and we'll be unbeatable.

Im hoping that if we get a couple of them who turn into superstars, the rest will still be decent first graders who can hold down a spot. Like, if Zyon Maiu’u isn't the next best prop in the game I'd settle for a 100m +, limited errors and penalties and a good defender.

Surely that's not too much to ask 🤣

Wingers should be players we are able to develop and pay (relatively) cheaply, I wouldn't want us to sign Mulitalo as he'll be expecting decent money.
That's true but where are they?

Kosi is OK but rocks n diamonds so far and not better than Montoya

Tu - can't crack 1st grade

Graham-taufa - 22 yrs old and looks the goods but can't crack first grade

Where are the manu/meli/faafili's
