That is a lot of Cap that’s not playing Wrighty.
You might get left behind and fall in the rankings with that much Cap/Points you’re missing every week.
Well I could trade out Walsh next week on the grounds that he might not return from his injury the same fearless player.
I could pick up either of the Hammer or Papps as a replacement.

I'm just rage trading now.. aka I've just about given up already.

From round 1 i've wanted to trade out a couple of under achievers for those doing better, at a cheaper price.

BUT NOOOOOO.

Have to make fucking injury trades, whilst watching prices drop in my team and those I want rise, by keeping the under performing sacks of shit, just for more points Each week.

Should (still might) bite the bullet this week getting rid of the slackers, whilst keeping the injured pricks in. Will cost myself a week or two of shit scores. Overalls cooked might aswell see what i can do for H2H sakes

This a hell of a well written rant. I read it three times and was equally entertained on each occassion.

Hey Gentlemen as coordinator of this tournament can I make an administrative request,

After the next round (ie on Monday or Tuesday next week) could you come into the thread and post where you are standing in the H2H league...eg right now i am 11th

Just gives us a bit of an update.

Thank you!!

Hey mate, any player that is out in excess of 4 weeks is ALWAYS a trade. You’ve just listed off millions of dollars of cap space sitting unused. This highlights two issues. 1, you’re not scoring points with players of equal value Which sounds like it is significant given the list you’ve given. And two, they’re earning you zero profit sitting unused. Whilst this may not be significant right now, by the seasons end other players may have hundreds of thousands more cap space to afford to bring in gun players.

Yes Held Campbell. I am like a pack rat. I am holding the following injured or suspended players

1) Reece Walsh - Due back by Round 7 so I will wait for him
2) Nathan Cleary - Due back by Round 7-8 at latest so I will wait for him
3) Payne Haas - Due back Round 8 so I will Wait
4) Spencer Leniu - Due back from Suspension Round 10 - someone advised me not to wait for him so I will trade him out next week.

I spent three days going through countless permutations and trade options before finally realising I should keep it simple and trade away the two players I wanted the least and acquire the best two players I could with their salaries.

I have 16 available players for this round and if Talou is named then I will have 17.
Haas needs to be traded this week. So too Reece Walsh. These are both 8 week confirmed injuries, that you can allocate 1.5 million to two other players immediately. Looking at your team, I’d recommend a mid and a wfb. Options include:

Teddy
Turbo
Kiraz
Pomga
May
Rapana

Murray
Hopgood
Flegler
Cotter
Utoi
Carrigan
Tohu
McInnes

Leniu needs to go asap too. I’d trade to a cashie in, talagi looking like a good option. Kai Pearce Paul is another mid range good option.

You need to sell over the next few weeks:
Best (performing poorly)
Neame (bench forward)
Riki (shit fantasy player)
Hetherington
Savage
Te kura

None of these players are fantasy relevant. Seems like a lot but we’ve all got similar numbers, but if you can fix these up you’ll be on your way

I’m sitting 4th overall in OG league & 9th in over run. I don’t play h2h, I’m going for overall but both normally cross over anyway. If you have a good overall side normally h2h you do well.

I think you are looking at my last week's team - I just traded 30 minutes ago
The Injured Piakura (out for 4 weeks plus) for Kinefeulaki from the cowboys
and Ben Te Kura for E Strange

You are right I have many trades I need to make!!! Unfortunately with the constant injuries I keep getting I feel like the boy plugging holes in the dike with his fingers.

We’re all in the same boat. Just on those trades, you’re selling Piakura (4 weeks, 360k, and te kura (not playing, 230k) to two cashies. Normally, I’d say this is a good idea. However you have some very expensive players sitting idle, and you can only do some much selling those two players you’ve chosen. I’d highly recommend holding off on those, they’re not nearly as urgent as haas, Walsh, Leniu

Thanks for the recommendation. I gave myself a head ache for three days deciding who to trade so will stick with my selection as I want to hit the sack soon and the first lock out is tomorrow and I am not going to win anyway as I am a rookie and just learning.

The other reason for my apathy as to whether I have made the right trade or not is that I figure it is all about H2H so I have given up on this round since I don't have a full compliment of 17 and lost my three best players (Haas, Walsh and Cleary) - I have decided to forgo this round and just do housekeeping trades this week but make my overall roster more organised for future weeks. If I don't make a priority of trading Be Te Kura now he will always be slinking around on my books as a higher priority trade will keep coming up. I also sized up my opposition H2H opponent's line up and although he is decimated with injuries like I am he is the favourite to win this week. If I thought I had more of a hope against him then yes I would have traded out and in some heavy hitters this week.

I will trade Walsh next week and hopefully win next week's H2H. My target this year is to come 8th or 9th and just learn the ropes.
My trades next week at this point are
Walsh and Riki out for Kikau and Papenhuysen or Hammer.
That should give my point scoring a boost.
the week after that I am targeting to trade out Leniu and Neame for a Middle and possibly a third string hooker.

My other goal is just to have a functional team. As of 6pm today I had 6 Broncos. Which was a rookie error that was going to screw me when they had a bye. Today I traded two Broncos and next week will trade away two more. I also want to get Neame off my team so that i only have two Cowboys.
The Origin period is going to be a real challenge so I am mindful of that already.

I also want to give Bradman Best a chance as last two years he averaged 40 points per game. Maybe Knights havn't clicked offensively yet.

I've got Cotter in my Supercoach side but have benched him. Even if he plays that foot injury he picked up in the weekend looked pretty niggly so don't want a situation where he only plays the first 10 minutes of the game.
