Starford wouldn't drop all those bombs in the outfield. Sorry I'm new to cricket.
Who would you replace Ferguson? He seems to be out of whack in this condition
GP and Ravindra showing spin works over there regardless of the pitches, maybe Sodhi? If Southee is fine why didn’t he field? He’s a great fielder
Stuff to fix
1) Boult’s opening spells
2) Latham’s form, India condition is suppose to be his bitch
3) Mitchell wanting to throw his wickets away
4) GP is a meh closer and Chapman hasn’t surpassed Neesham who played another tragic Irish hero role again, he should be our permanent closer now
5) How to field and focus on a crap hole field
6) If SA/Aus openers go nuts throw in spinners, we might end up with 4 in the starting XI lol, see how Aussies slowed right down?
7) Williamson to come back for bat and also upgrade captaincy

We have some real upside and literally just scared the pants off the Aussies like they did to us in 2015 when we won by 1 wicket then got destroyed in the final, I think we can win it when SA/India are some serious serial chokers and against us lol

Hmm no swing in the sun vs a team that has a bit of a weakness chasing and we have inserted South Africa? Curious decision. I think we'll be chasing a big one again.

Ominous first over, Boult was bang on target, yet it seemed pretty easy for de Kock who is not great against left-armers that move the ball.
Are we nervous about setting a target after the last 15 overs of us batting against India?

I'm struggling to see where they are coming from, although history says this is more of a chasing ground.
NZ is bowling beautifully here, there just isn't the assistance to reward it.
Looks like it will be fairly easy to bat on from the 9th or 10th over.

This pitch is slow. If we can take semi-regular wickets, it might be quite hard for a new batsman to come in and go at the ball.

It is coming out beautifully for Santner. I would like to see Sodhi get a game and bowl in tandem - this was probably the game for it, but Southee is looking pretty tidy so far.

...and 2 balls and 10 runs later, de Kock likes the idea of cashing in against Southee today. Switch flicked.
Southee a bit tired first game back. An over too much and De kock was itching to play some big shots. Might be time for Philips?
