Guess that’s what happens when you try to change democracy and don’t take the people with you.

Labour bought in many divisive policies that were deliberately hidden from the public before the last election. Hipkins has said himself they haven’t done a good job of explaining co governance when he took over but there has been silence since. Ramming through hidden policy gets a reaction and if you won’t be up front and discuss your agenda (calling everyone racist that mentions it) then people will fester and simmer and find their own outlet.

THEY have created the division by suppressing the debate and this is a natural consequence.

There was never these issues 10 years ago.
Theres also quite a long history of incidents with MPs so definitely not something in the last year.

Race baiting rhetoric and the way cookers act online definitely contributes.

Fuck off you fucking racist stupid cunt, I'd love you to talk your racist shit on the street and see how far it gets you.
No need for personal attacks, keep it civil mate. This is why is so difficult to have discussions with people like you. You just snap & start pulling the racist cards & swearing. it’s ok if someone has a different opinion to yours, it’s called a democracy.

What line or where gave you that impression?
The impression I get is that whoever did whatever they did where motivated by recent comments from NZF and ACT. I read this together with the letter a day or two before written by Naida Glavich.

Is this your impression or the impression you get when saying the accusations are aimed higher than the people accused of the vandalism? I think recent comments from nzf and act are certainly being blamed as inflammatory with Maori leaders signing a petition.

I can understand the frustration as according to the Wizard everything that happens is Labour’s fault

Yes.

They are the majority government that made the changes, started the ball rolling and are now throwing their hands up about the consequences and blaming everyone else…

This is the political thread you know 🤣

Wasn't Luxon telling the country in the first debate they invented "By Maori, for Maori"?

Bay39er Dixpat is correct - An attack on a 20 year female Maori Party hopeful being Labours fault is ridiculous.

Finishing college and avoid having a child before 21, and you’ll avoid two of the biggest predictors of poverty later in life.

I would say Maori are over represented in both those stats. Policies that address just those 2 stats will do infinitely more good than allowing someone to get preferential access to drugs than another person with equal need just due to the colour of their skin.

The reason Maori are over represented in those stats are very complex societal issues though and it needs to be Maori whanau and community led.

The Maori politicians should be leading the way in those areas instead of accepting the abysmal school attendance and drop out rates under ‘no consequences’ Labour.

Ambition. Work hard. Achievement focused. No excuses. A desire for a better future. Those are the attributes that immigrants arrive with, when they have nothing but quickly pull themselves up to a decent standard of living. How often do we hear this from our Maori MPs? (Except maybe from Shane Jones)

He shamelessly pursues power and money - I doubt he actually believes half the things he says.
Good to see the Act / NZF slugging it out of the nut job vote though.
I heard a few of Winston’s ads on the radio the other day. The throws out a few inflammatory buzzwords to agitate a supporter base. No plan, nothing. Just cheap talk

It’s amazing that 5% of NZ falls for him. The only thing he stands for is himself

He’s definitely clocked MMP. All the other parties have effectively made their coalitions already, so he’s the only one with any negotiating power

It’s like turning up to a car yard, already bought vs turning up with a suitcase full of cash
